Cleaning House

On Wednesday we cleaned the house top to bottom, or rather, bottom to top if you want to be precise. This was following my response to Tom's Tuesday afternoon inquiry of what I wanted to do that evening. I replied that I would like to walk into a room that is not filthy, when I realized I would have to leave the house in order to accomplish it.
So, after Tae Kwon Do and Art classes in the morning we neglected the rest of our daily studies and picked up the house. We found many long lost toys, dishes, socks, and the baby (she had been missing since lunchtime).
The problem is I don't know if our shabby, hand-me-down, mismatched furniture looks better clean or with junk all over them. I would say the latter, because at least it's covered up and gives the illusion that this could be a nice house if we weren't such slobs. But in the end I guess I'm happy to know there is nothing living in the depths of the sofa anymore.

We could not find Jenny's inhaler anywhere. She missed a night and morning dose and was about to miss another when finally we found it deep in the bowels of the loveseat. Lest you think it fell out of a pocket, it is dark purple and lavender and a favorite "toy" of Sarahs. We find all kinds of things in the furniture, it's like her personal bureau.
