October 2009, Saturday PM Session
1:00: Arrive at the Stake Center. Sit in same place. I've noticed we've been given a much wider berth by the repeat attendees this session. I also notice that the volume has been turned up. I wonder if it's because of us.
1:10: Lily shows me her "bid geen booder!"
1:15-1:59: Bathroom Breaks #3-#76
2:00: Rest Hymn
2:09: Lose Lily
2:13: Catch a whiff of a stinky diaper. Verify no one else floated one. Follow the scent. Find Lily.
2:14-2:47: Bathroom Breaks #75-136
2:48: Dad falls asleep
2:53: Dad wakes up
3:00: Leave the building...after another quick trip to the bathroom.

when i first moved to utah, i missed actually getting dressed up and going to the stake center for conference. the living 4oom feels so informal.
and then, i had kids. now conference is my FAVORITE weekend. we all have some kind of quiet activity (i usually do embroidery) and listen to the talks at home. it's FABULOUS.
I can't believe anyone gives you a sideways glance! No one comes with kids and has a calm day!

you are stalwarts. I so admire your dedication to that dreaded regimen. Our internet connection was a bit spotty for the first time in years, but we tortured our children in the confines of our bedroom. At least no one else hears the complaining. Or the talks, for that matter. :)
