Thanksgiving
I LOVE the fall. After living in Utah for many years, then taking an even bigger hit by moving to Arizona, autumn has been struggling for the Andrew family. (and don't all you Utah people tell me how beautiful the fall is there; people in Arizona say it's not that hot) It is good to be back in an autumn kind of place. I grew up in Virginia, which has fairly spectacular autumn colors and have gotten homesick every October until now.
This morning I woke up freezing, the kids playing noisily in the next room in their pajamas. It felt like the Thanksgiving holidays. It is like the holidays every day at our house after all. We just work on all the holidays. I am looking forward to baking and roasting a turkey. I make a mean green bean casserole from scratch. YUM! And there's nothing like pumpkin pie for breakfast. I had a friend in high school who loved pumpkin pie for breakfast so much he got up in the middle of the night and ate a whole pie in his sleep!
To bring in the season, Jacob gave me a lovely Thanksgiving card that said, "MOM HAPP CHIKN!" If that is not something to give thanks for, I don't know what is.
