another chuckle

I just have to get Jake off the top here. I laugh every time I open up the blog, so here's a funny thing Emma said. She's always saying unexpected things.
We were watching the Planet Earth series that our excellent friends, the Seelys, lent to us and there was something about a Tibetan rodent came up. I don't remember what it's called now. Emma asked what the heck that thing was and I told her that it was a relative of the rabbit.
"A relative of the rabbit?"she replied satisfactorily, "I see, so they go and visit rabbits a lot!"

And here's a moment with Jake. He ran up to me very urgently with a book in hand. "MOM! You HAVE to read this book to me right now, because I haven't even read a single word in the entire book!" It's all hyperbole with 5 year olds.
