Ethan was baptized on Saturday by his dad. Three other little girls were baptized, too, but luckily, it was relatively small and low-key, just as we preferred. No superfluous musical extravaganzas or releasing of doves. We frown upon that sort of thing. It was lovely. Ethan was very pleased and happy. Tom actually shook him under the water to do a thorough job of it, I suppose, or maybe he almost dropped him, I couldn't really tell. When Dad and Ethan left the font Lily burst out screaming for some reason. Maybe she wanted to jump in, too, I don't know.

Congratulations Ethan! You will always remember this special day.
The doves were totally bummed they didn't get to come, I hear.
Big beautiful congrats though!!
What? No special confirmation suit? No caterer? What's wrong with you people!
PS Ethan is one handsome boy.
Congrats to Ethan! that's an exciting day for your whole family, even without doves and a alleluia chorus. But maybe that's what Lily was hoping for ... :)
loved the Halloween costumes - you did a fabulous job. Lily makes a great hobbit!
I'm going to check out those talks/speeches. They sound fascinating!
i've never been to a baptism with doves before, sounds interesting...
what an awesome day for handsome ethan! taylor was excited at the prospect of being so much older than my ethan that he could baptism him. then we figured out, he would be on his mission but spencer would be old enough too. what the? since ethan turned three this last weekend, that means i have less than FIVE years until my birds start leaving the nest. when did this happen!
my point is, cherish every day. they grow up way too fast.
congratulations ethan!
