How to Warp your Children

...in response to entry WARPED a week or so ago...
GIMP is a raster graphics editor I use. It's a free alternative to Photoshop and I have been pretty impressed with it's power. The only downside that has really affected me is that it doesn't support CMYK but there are ways to get around even that. Did I mention that it's free? Thus, I use it. So download it and warp your children as thoroughly as I have like this:

Open your picture in Gimp. I usually like scale it down to cut down on render time. Scale it in Image --> Scale Image. I scale it to roughly 600x400 pixels at 72 dpi. Go to Filters --> Distort --> IWarp

Then you get a menu like this that allows you to do lots of warping.

Options like grow, shrink, move, etc. It also includes variation for your working radius (the amount of area affected) and warp amount (intensity). You warp in the little window and then when you are done it renders your image and VOILA! Warped children and many laughs! ...and just in time for your Christmas cards.
